Wind power predictions

Wind forecasts are valid over a certain grid area that depends on the numerical weather model used. Orography, soil conditions, vegetation and urbanisation however may cause significant variations within the grid area. Aeolis developed the adaptive wind power predictor Scirocco that corrects the wind power prediction for local circumstances. From historical production Scirocco learns the relations between wind forecast and wind power output. These relations will be used to adjust the operational wind power prediction.

The Scirocco wind power predictions are offered against a competitive fee. First customers are eligible for a discount on a trial period. We are confident that customers having experienced the accuracy of Scirocco will maintain the wind power predictions.
